The year 2000 marks the 3rd year our Tasting Room has been open at 1171 Tubbs Lane. The replanting of the vineyards at Summers Winery/Villa Andriana Vineyard is complete, and Cabernet Sauvignon will be in the barrels this harvest season.

Visitors ask us our history daily. Prior to becoming winegrape growers, Beth and Jim Summers worked in Mortgage Banking and Commercial & Investment Banking, respectively. They made their home in Marin County and worked in San Francisco for many years. Beth is from Southern California, and is a fifth generation Californian. Jim is from Northeast Kansas, yet he has lived in California since graduation from High School.

We have been growing wine grapes in the California "North Coast" wine regions since 1987, but our wine heritage reaches back to 1919 in Rancho Cucamonga, where Beth Summer's family roots began. Our daughter, Andriana (Andie) will be the fifth generation in the family business. Beth Mazzola Summers' great-grandfather, Ambrose Mazzola moved to Cucamonga from Sicily, Italy where he purchased land in 1919, planted vines, grew hearty red winegrapes and made wine for several years with the help of his several sons.
