S.
Anderson represents the devotion of two generations of the Anderson family. Stanley
and Carol Anderson began with their first vineyard in 1971. The next twenty years
were dedicated to creating vineyards, caves and a winery to produce wines that
rival any in the world. Carol Anderson attended the University of California at
Davis as a graduate student in the School of Viticulture and Enology. She created
the S. Anderson Champagnes and Chardonnays and continues to supervise every aspect
of the winemaking process with winemaker David DeSante. The late Stanley Anderson
supervised all planting of the vineyards as well as the creation of the caves
and winery. His legacy is in every bottle that S. Anderson produces. Their son,
John Anderson, conducts the business and marketing activities of S. Anderson while
his wife, Tracy, a graduate of the California Culinary Academy, brings a creative
flair to the winery entertaining. The Andersons have created a business that future
generations will pursue with the same caring and passion their ancestors possessed.
