The Winery
Domaine Chandon was established by Moet & Chandon in 1973, making it the first venture by a French Champagne maker in California. Its vineyards are in the southern portions of Napa and Sonoma and in the highly regarded Carneros region. The diversity of these many vineyards creates greater flavor and complexity in all of Domaine Chandon's wines.
Winemaker Dawnine Dyer has been with Domaine Chandon since 1976. Under her direction, Chandon was the first California winery to use the Champagne varietal Pinot Meunier in a sparkling wine. Chandon was also one of the first wineries to invest heavily in Carneros as a grape-growing region and today is the second largest vineyard owner in this highly respected appellation.

Domaine Chandon produces four sparkling wines using the Methode Traditionelle:

Reserve Brut. Winemaker Dawnine Dyer's special creation, made from exceptional lots of wine and aged four years "sur lie".

Blanc de Noirs. A showcase blend of two noble red varietals: Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Brut Classic. A traditional blend of red and white varietals: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.

Fleur de Vigne. An unmistakably Californian blend of five grape varietals: Chardonnay, Malvasia Bianca, Muscat Canelli, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir.
