Founded in 1984, B.R.Cohn Winery is located in the heart of the Valley of the Moon, in scenic Sonoma Valley. The winery and surrounding 65 acre estate, named Olive Hill Vineyard, sit on an original Spanish land grant. Situated in a unique, elevated micro-climate, just south of Glen Ellen, the property was purchased by Bruce Cohn in 1974 and operated for ten years as a vineyard, supplying grapes from which award-winning wines were produced by such wineries as Ravenswood, Kenwood and Gundlach-Bundschu.

In 1984 Bruce decided to create his own winery, which he did out of an old barn on the estate, and he has been winning awards ever since. In fact, his 1991 Olive Hill Vineyard Estate Cabernet just received a 91 and a 'Highly Recommended' rating from the Wine Spectator. 2,800 cases were produced.

Other highly rated current releases include the '91 Sonoma Valley Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon and a '93 Sonoma Valley, Carneros, Chardonnay from their well established, new Sonoma-Carneros Vineyards.

Bruce produces more than award winning Cabernet and Chardonnay. Although he grew up on the Russian River in Sonoma and trimmed grape vines as a child, he made his name as the manager of such super-rock groups as the Doobie Brothers, and his walls are as full of the gold and platinum records of his music business as they are medals from wine judgings. He and his family live at the winery, where they oversee both the wine and the music business.
